The results for the GATE 2026 will be officially announced on March 19, 2026. The exam is being conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, and candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their results through the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) portal.

The result will include important details such as marks obtained, qualifying status, subject-wise cutoff marks, and overall score. Candidates who qualify the exam will be eligible to apply for M.Tech, ME, PhD admissions, and several Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) recruitments that accept GATE scores.

• Scorecard Availability: March 27 – May 31, 2026

Candidates can download the scorecard free of cost between March 27 and May 31, 2026 from the GOAPS portal. After this period, the scorecard can still be downloaded by paying a fee of ₹500 until December 31, 2026.

How to Check GATE 2026 Result

1. Visit the official GOAPS portal.

2. Log in using your Enrollment ID / Email ID and Password.

3. Click on the GATE 2026 Result link.

4. Download and save the scorecard for future use.

The GATE score is widely accepted by IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other top engineering institutes in India for postgraduate admissions. Many PSUs such as oil, power, and engineering companies also use GATE scores for recruitment.

Candidates are advised to download their scorecards within the free download period and keep a copy for admission or job application purposes.
