The University of Delhi, commonly known as Delhi University (DU), established in 1922 is a premier public central university located in New Delhi, India. It was founded by the British Indian Government's Central Legislative Assembly, initially affiliating three existing colleges: St. Stephen's College, Hindu College, and Ramjas College. Over the years, DU has expanded significantly and is now one of India's largest universities. It comprises 16 faculties, over 80 academic departments, and more than 90 affiliated colleges spread across the city. In 2022, DU transitioned its admission process to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), moving away from the previous system based on 12th-grade percentage marks. This change aims to standardize the admission process and provide a uniform platform for all applicants.
