The Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) at the University of Delhi, established in 2011, is a pioneering institution dedicated to fostering innovation by bridging academic research with practical applications. Conceived under the leadership of then Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Singh, CIC aims to harness the creative potential of students and address societal challenges through interdisciplinary education and research. CIC offers a range of academic programs designed to cultivate an innovation-driven mindset: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations: This four-year undergraduate program integrates mathematics and information technology, enabling students to earn a minor degree in fields such as electronics, management, or computational biology; Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Humanities and Social Sciences: Also a four-year program, it operates under the Meta College concept, allowing students to design their own degree by majoring in disciplines like environmental science, tourism, geography, literature, media and communication studies, natural sciences, or psychology; and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics Education: This two-year postgraduate program, offered jointly with Jamia Millia Islamia, aims to innovate mathematics pedagogy by integrating interdisciplinary methods and technology to enhance education. Admissions to these programs are conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, while Ph.D. admissions are based on National Eligibility Test (NET) scores conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). CIC is located within the University Stadium building on the North Campus of the University of Delhi, providing students with access to a vibrant academic environment and state-of-the-art facilities.
