University School of Management Studies (USMS) is the on-campus business school of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), established in 1999 in New Delhi, India. Initially located at the Kashmiri Gate campus, USMS has since relocated to the university's West Campus in Dwarka, New Delhi.
USMS offers a comprehensive range of management programs designed to cater to diverse educational needs. The flagship two-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program allows students to specialize in areas such as Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Systems & Information Technology, and International Business. Admission to this program is based on the Common Entrance Test (CET). In the academic year 201920, USMS introduced the MBA in Financial Analysis, focusing on applying advanced analytical methods to financial challenges by integrating core management knowledge with statistical and quantitative analysis, predictive modeling, and optimization. The school also offers doctoral programs (Ph.D.) aimed at developing individuals into distinguished researchers, consultants, managers, and educators in the field of management, with research areas including Global Business Management, Healthcare Management, IT-Business Interface, Banking & Insurance, Brand & Retail Management, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Additionally, USMS provides a B.Tech.-MBA Dual Degree program and various weekend MBA programs tailored for working professionals, such as MBA (General), MBA (Real Estate) in collaboration with the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), MBA (Banking and Insurance), and MBA (Consultancy Management).
The school is equipped with a Behavioral Testing and Training Laboratory, offering psychometric testing services to industrial houses for recruitment, selection, placement, promotion, transfers, and employee profiling. It also conducts training on behavioral modification, attitude formation, leadership, team building, and therapeutic training for clinical or pathological issues in employees. To meet the growing demand for trained manpower in India's retail industry, USMS launched a three-month Certificate Course in Retail, training candidates in the basics of store operations and practical retail selling skills.
USMS is situated on the 60-acre campus of GGSIPU in Dwarka, New Delhi, alongside other university schools. The institution has been rated A+ in the Best B-Schools Survey conducted by Business India in 2006, reflecting its commitment to excellence in management education.
