The University School of Management & Entrepreneurship (USME) is a constituent school of Delhi Technological University (DTU), situated at the East Delhi Campus in Vivek Vihar, Phase-2, New Delhi. Established to provide quality education in management and entrepreneurship, USME offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to equip students with the necessary skills to excel in today's dynamic business environment.
USME offers programs in three primary disciplines: Management, focusing on developing leadership and administrative skills essential for effective business operations; Economics, providing a deep understanding of economic theories and their practical applications in various sectors; & Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development, encouraging creativity and equipping students with the tools to start and manage their own ventures. These programs are tailored to meet the evolving demands of the industry and foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students.
The faculty at USME comprises experienced professionals and academicians from prestigious institutions such as IIM Kolkata, IIM Lucknow, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) at Delhi University, IITs (Madras, Kharagpur, Mumbai, Ropar), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and the Delhi School of Economics (DSE). This diverse and accomplished team brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insights to the classroom, enhancing the learning experience for students.
USME regularly organizes workshops and seminars in various areas of entrepreneurship and management. These events include orientation programs, boot camps for startups, strategy sessions, IT skills training (covering tools like R for Machine Learning, SPSS, Python), and discussions on entrepreneurship-related topics. The school has collaborated with institutions such as the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (IIC), Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), NITI Aayog, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to provide students with exposure to industry trends and networking opportunities.
