Established in 1964 by the visionary entrepreneur Padmashree (late) Shri Shyam Lal Gupta, Shyam Lal College (SLC) is a co-educational constituent college of the University of Delhi. The foundation stone was laid by Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then Vice President of India and Chancellor of the University of Delhi, on May 24, 1964.
