The Government of India has approved 43 new medical colleges and 11,682 additional MBBS seats for the 2025-26 academic session, Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel informed the Rajya Sabha. The National Medical Commission has also approved 8,967 new postgraduate medical seats across institutions including All India Institute of Medical Sciences and other Institutes of National Importance.

The IPMAT 2026 registration for Indian Institute of Management Indore started on February 2, 2026 and will close on March 14, 2026. The entrance exam for the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) will be conducted on May 4, 2026.

JEE Advanced 2026 registration for Indian candidates will begin on April 23, 2026, and the last date to apply is May 2, 2026. The exam will be conducted by IIT Roorkee on May 17, 2026 for admission to IIT B.Tech programs.
