BITS Pilani has officially announced the complete schedule and important updates for BITSAT 2026, the entrance examination for admission to its undergraduate engineering and science programmes.

📅 Exam Schedule

The exam will be conducted in two sessions:

  • Session 1: April 15–17, 2026

  • Session 2: May 24–26, 2026

Registration for Session 1 is currently open and will close on March 16, 2026. For Session 2, the registration window will remain open from April 20 to May 2, 2026. Candidates have the flexibility to apply for either one or both sessions. Slot booking details will be announced later, allowing students to choose their preferred date and time.

🎓 Revised Eligibility Criteria

A major change has been introduced in the eligibility rules. Only students who passed Class 12 in 2025 or are appearing in 2026 are eligible to apply. Students who have repeated Class 12 are not eligible this year.

Applicants must secure a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), with at least 60% marks in each subject individually.

💰 Application Fee & Scholarship

The application fee for BITSAT 2026 has been increased by ₹100 across all categories.

In a significant relief for meritorious candidates, the institute has confirmed that the top 500 rank holders will receive a full tuition fee waiver under its Tuition Blind Admission Scheme, making it one of the most attractive scholarship opportunities among private engineering institutions.

🖥️ Exam Pattern

BITSAT 2026 will be a 3-hour, computer-based test (CBT) consisting of objective-type questions. The syllabus is based primarily on the NCERT curriculum for Classes 11 and 12.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website, https://bitsadmission.com, for detailed notifications, updates on slot booking, and further admission procedures.

With revised eligibility rules and scholarship benefits, BITSAT 2026 is expected to witness strong competition among aspiring engineering students across India.
