BITS Pilani has announced the BITSAT 2026 exam schedule, with Session 1 scheduled from April 15–17 and Session 2 from May 24–26, 2026. Registration for Session 1 is open until March 16. The institute has introduced revised eligibility criteria (only 2025 pass-outs and 2026 appearing students eligible), increased the application fee by ₹100, and confirmed that the top 500 rank holders will receive full tuition fee scholarships

BITS Pilani has officially opened the BITSAT 2026 registration process, allowing candidates to apply for Session 1 or both exam sessions until March 16, 2026, at 5 PM. The BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) is the entrance exam for admission to undergraduate programmes offered at BITS campuses.

📅 BITSAT 2026 Important Dates

  • Application Deadline: March 16, 2026 (for Session 1 or both sessions)

  • Session 1 Exam: April 15–17, 2026

  • Session 2 Exam: May 24–26, 2026

  • Session 2 Registration Only: April 20–May 2, 2026

Candidates will be able to book their preferred exam date and shift during the slot booking window, which will be announced later.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for BITSAT 2026, candidates must have:

  • Minimum 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in Class 12

  • At least 60% marks in each subject individually

💰 Scholarship Initiative

A major highlight of BITSAT 2026 is the tuition-blind admission initiative, under which the top 500 rank holders will receive full tuition fee waivers, making it a significant opportunity for high-achieving students.

🖥️ Exam Pattern

BITSAT 2026 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with the following structure:

  • Duration: 3 hours

  • Total Questions: 130 MCQs

  • Subjects:

    • Physics – 30 questions

    • Chemistry – 30 questions

    • English & Logical Reasoning – 30 questions

    • Mathematics/Biology – 40 questions

Marking Scheme:

  • +3 marks for each correct answer

  • −1 mark for each incorrect answer

📊 Result & Preference Submission

Students whose Class 12 results are delayed beyond June 1, 2026, will still be allowed to submit their admission preferences, and they can upload their marks by July 10, 2026.
