Common Admission Test (CAT) is the National level entrance exam for admission to MBA.The exam is a 2-hour, computer-based entrance exam featuring both MCQs and non-MCQ (Type-In-The-Answer) questions.CAT Eligibility Criteria Candidates must meet the following academic and category-specific parameters:Educational Qualification: A completed Bachelor's degree in any discipline (or professional degrees like CA/CS/ICWA) from a UGC/AICTE-recognized institution.Minimum Marks: General, EWS, and NC-OBC candidates need at least 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA); SC, ST, and PwD candidates need 45%.Final-Year Students: Candidates in the final year of their graduation are eligible to apply provisionally.Age & Attempts: There is no minimum or maximum age limit for CAT, and there is no restriction on the number of attempts.CAT Exam PatternThe CAT is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of a total of 68 questions (subject to minor yearly variations) distributed across three distinct sections.Section 1 (VARC): Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (24 questions)Section 2 (DILR): Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (22 questions)Section 3 (QA): Quantitative Aptitude (22 questions)Test Mechanics:Sectional Time Limit: You get 40 minutes for each section (totaling 120 minutes).
