Madras Veterinary College, established on 1 October 1903, is India’s first institution to offer a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine and is located in Vepery, Chennai. Now a constituent of TANUVAS, India’s first veterinary university, the college blends over a century of heritage with a modern, research-driven approach to veterinary science education. Spread over a 6-hectare campus, the college features heritage buildings, advanced laboratories, digital classrooms, and one of Asia’s largest veterinary libraries with extensive print and online resources. The first-year fee for BVSc & AH is approximately ₹21,915, with scholarships and loans available for eligible students.
